Since 2015 PTVN has supported over 4.000 Vinmart and Vinmart+ supermarkets across the whole of Vietnam in securing both new and extended certificates of food hygiene and safety.
The certificate is a document issued by a competent state agency when they fully meet the prescribed standards and conditions and with the exception of some limited cases all food manufactures must have a Certificate of Food Hygiene and Safety to operate.
Exceptions are:
- Small scale production establishments
- Food Production and Trading not having a fixed location
- Small preliminary processing
- Trade in prepackaged food
- Producing and trading in tools and products for packaging and storing food.
- Hotel Restaurants
- Collective Restaurants
- Street Food
- If the establishment has been awarded any of the following certificates: Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food Safety Management System ISO 22000, Standard Food Safety International (IFS), Global Food Safety (BRC) or Food Safety System Certificate (FSSC 22000) or any equivalent certificate to FSSC 22000.
Timeline
Normally these take between 20-25 working days from date of application to be granted.
